Activation: Treasure Hunts and Immersive Public Games
The new game design gold rush is in creating immersive games in public spaces. They’re big, they’re intricate, they involve dozens of players, and demand is skyrocketing. How can you build things like treasure hunts, adventure maps, immersive live-action games, megagames, and make enough money to justify the time and expense? And how do you get the projects started in ways that help the organisations say "Yes, lets give it a go" rather than "that sounds unsafe… it’s a bit too much of a risk"?
There will be an actual megagame demo to play presented by our interstate team of game developers and megagame organisers will answer these questions, and more! We’ll teach you all we know, and you can take that to develop your own megagames for audiences large and small!
