What's On

Check out a few things that are happening at PAX Australia 2025, more information can be found on the website.

We’ll be broadcasting two simultaneous channels of the best gaming content across Main Theatre, Quokka Theatre and Wombat Theatre, virtually all show hours.

Operating all year round, the Discord server offers opportunities to speak with the PAX team and community, engross ones self in our immersive RPG game (powered by EpicRPG), connect with like-minded fans through our extensive channel opt in system and for the first time engage with our physical event directly with our event channels live from the show floor and abroad!

PAX Together is a curated selection of games and groups meant to celebrate a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences within gaming, especially from marginalized or minority groups.

PAX believes that games should be for everyone and made by anyone. Together, we can make that a reality. Whether you're here to meet old friends or find new faves, we aim to have something for everybody.

The Omegathon is a Mega-Tournament spanning the entire length of PAX, featuring games of all platforms and genres.

Speedruns are basically game playthroughs all about one thing - Speed.

If that’s your thing, we host speedrun races and exhibitions on our Speedrunning Stage. Ironically, it runs for three full days, so boy, do we need to find a lot of games to fill it.

Come check it out, they’re fast as heck.

PAX XP is a hidden QR Code hunt that takes place in the PAX Aus app. Find and scan the 16 hidden PAX XP QR codes scattered around the show to uncover the hidden image!

Each year, we receive over a hundred game submissions from the incredibly talented independent gaming community. They are analyzed, critiqued, and judged until only a few remain, which are then featured at the show as winners of the Indie Showcase.

PAX Aus showcases a massive Expo Hall filled to the brim with developers and publishers from across the gaming industry, and they can’t wait to show you what they’ve been working on.

PAX Aus has nine theatres of gaming goodness running throughout the three-day event.

Panel content across Main Theatre, Quokka Theatre and Wombat Theatre will be live-streamed across Twitch channels PAX, PAX2 throughout the show.

PAX Arena is our dedicated home for esports, run in partnership with ESL, the world's largest esports tournament organiser. PAX Arena boasts three days of fierce competition live from the Expo floor, with top teams competing in some of Australia's largest esports titles in front of a packed-out Arena crowd.

Join us at PAX Arena all weekend long or watch all the action live on the PAX Arena Twitch channel!

PAX Collaboratory is a space for tabletop designers to pull back the sheet and show off the in-development games they have on the slab. There's definitely going to be games. If you're working on a board game, card game, RPG or anything in between, we want your tabletop creations! Field-test your creations with everyone at PAX. Rub elbows with other designers.

PAX Collaboratory is made possible by Tabletop Game Designers Australia

You got a phone? Then you got a game! Check out our lists of easy-to-play browser and mobile games, get a group together, or if you’re really lucky, jump into a session hosted by yours truly. From classics like Jackbox Games & Codenames to newer favourites like Gartic Phone, there is something for everyone - drop by for some hilarious shenanigans!

You got a desktop? Then you've got a tabletop!

Seriously, we have so many tabletop games, you have no idea. Look, here’s what I want you to do. Think of a tabletop game, and go to the Tabletop Library. We’ve probably got it. Check out the game. Set up a table.  If you’ve come with friends, force them to play with you. It shouldn’t be hard. If you’ve come alone, we’ve got a solution for that too...we'll have spaces in the Discord for setting up games. Look, we’ve got this down. All you need to worry about is rolling them crits.

See those people in costume? Those are cosplayers! You will find them all over the show, including The Cosplay Lounge, Cosplay Theatre, and in the Main Theatre on Sunday for the Cosplay Central Crown Championships!
